Steve did three trips with me in 1997. After his trip on June 4th, which won him the "Angler of the Month Award" I gave him the title "Grand Wizard of Beach Snook". His total catch over the three trips was over 125 snook, 10 trout, and a ladyfish. This was accomplished fishing with shiners, all the while trying to catch snook on the fly. If he had been serious about live bait fishing, God only knows how many snook he would have caught. These numbers are significantly ahead of all the other contenders, and there were some serious contenders. We just can't deny recognizing Steve as "The Angler of the Year".
