Capt. Butch Rickey is one of the area's top full-time guides, and is a Florida native who has fished the waters from Tampa Bay to Ft. Myers for much of his 65 plus years. Much of his youth was spent growing up on Sanibel and Captiva Island off the coast of Ft. Myers. Capt. Butch specializes in light tackle kayak fishing with spinning, baitcast, or fly fishing for snook, redfish, trout, and other species in from Estero Bay to Tampa Bay. You'll enjoy fishing the beautiful clear water of the shallow grass flats, mangrove keys, potholes, and oyster bars. You'll marvel at the wildlife on, in, and above the water. You'll see Florida as you always imagined it would be. A Barhopp'R trip will satisfy the fisherman, hunter, and sightseer in you. Capt. Butch is an instructional kayak fishing guide, and provides you with great Shimano reels and Bass Pro rods appropriate for kayak fishing. Butch is U.S. Coast Guard licensed, experienced, and provides kayaks and all required equipment, lures/bait, VHF radios, PFDs, trip pictures, and lots of advice and coaching when needed. Now he can even video your whole trip at your request. He will work hard to put you on the fish.
