I too had a terrific time Butch. Not only did I thoroughly enjoy the "hunt," but the catching of those powerful reds and the pleasure of your company and teaching made our day one of the most enjoyable fishing days I've ever had. While I still need practice, I'll be a better live bait fisherman (with circle hooks for sure) thanks to your coaching. I'll work hard to remember not to break the plane of my body too.
I'm certain we'll fish again (perhaps when it's not 1,000 degrees on the water though!) I've relived my day several times and can still "see" that 10 pounder thrashing by the boat and lunging away from the boat. I'll be a very old man before I forget our day. Next time we'll find a way to get Matthew in that boat!
Thanks a ton for the copies of the pictures. Viewing them today brought back moment by moment memories of my day on the water.
Had baked redfish with a corn flakes and bread crumb crust on Monday night. Having leftovers for lunch today at work (your office is MUCH nicer.) Next weekend we'll try your recipe with lime juice and crushed garlic. Mmmm.
