January and February are usually the toughest months of fishing for the entire year. Cold fronts, winds, rain, freezes; if it's coming, it will probably be in January and February. This year was the exception. We had temperatures ranging from the low 60's to the low 80's again if February. The hands down winner this month was Matt McMillen. He drew a beautiful day with a southeast breeze and a high of around 83, and the fish were in the mood! Matt, his brother Chris, and uncle Mark put around 40 big snook, reds, and trout in the boat in a morning of fishing, and that's some pretty great fishing for February.
