Hello Capt. Butch, and thanks again for an experience that really deserves to be called awesome. To say that the fishing trip exceeded my expectations would be an understatement. It simply blew me away. As you know this was my first time fishing in salt water, my first time ever fishing from a wheelchair, and a wish/desire to return to the sport after a 20 year absence. Butch, what a fun filled learning experience from watching you work your butt off chumming and catching the wild shiners for bait, to avoiding the 4 corporal barhoppr sins;
Thou shalt not place thy rod and reel on thy floor
Thou shalt not set thy hook on a slack line
Thou shalt not reel against thy drag
Thou shalt keep thy bait submerged at all times
When I first noticed you holding the wiffle bat I thought when this guy says don't put his fishing equipment on the deck he really means it! Heh, heh. Then I watched you use the bat to attract the trout. That reminds me. I forgot to tell you about my grandfather's fishing technique using a bottle of Exlax and a baseball bat. I always wanted to take a guided fishing trip but assumed that it was = too expensive, and that one had to be an expert fisherman. Boy, was I wrong about that! In fact, you make catching fish easy. To think I missed this all these years! Well, better late than never.
Thanks also for taking pictures with your camera because as it turns out my pictures did not come out.
