Butch,
I've been meaning to email you and thank you for a fun day of fishing. As you can imagine, I'm just now getting caught up on returning phone calls and emails I received while in Sanibel. Didn't these clients know I was kayak fishing with Captain Butch? Geez.
We decided on our way back to Castaways that a conservative guess of total fish caught would be three dozen each. We both caught our keeper red, mine being the second fish I got to the boat that morning. If you remember, that fish was responsible for freeing my poorly secured anchor pole and taking me for a short ride. I caught another smaller redfish later in the day. We caught a few small flounder, nothing noteworthy. There were some nice trout caught. I think my biggest was around 25 inches but many others were over 20. Considering how cold and windy it was that morning and the weather front moving in, I thought it was a great day of fishing!
I'm looking forward to the videos and pictures of the fish back at the ramp. Also, hopefully we will have another opportunity to fish together in the near future. I will be reading your reports this winter while I'm snowed in trying to keep sane waiting on the arrival of spring.
Thanks again.
Luke
