FISHING REPORT FOR THE WEEK ENDING 11/17/07

I've been saving reports and pictures from my customers for a couple of weeks, and not having worked this week it's the perfect time to post them.

First is a picture of my pen pal Terry Wyrock with a beautiful flounder. Terry's report:

Awesome....pinfish...at night...Estero Island.....10-24-07

22 inch Flounder tonite which is unheard of on this side.......( of the state) Halibut of the east coast for dinner tonite.....LIFE IS GOOD...........T

And, from my old friend Bill Schrader, of Newark, New Jersey:

Here are a couple of pictures of Northern Pike we took while fishing Seneca Lake which is one of the Finger Lakes here in upstate New York. The fish were caught jigging over weed beds. He measured 30" long. They were taken November 2, 2007. We had a light wind and the temperature when we started was 31 degrees but had warmed to 51 by the time we left.

What's interesting to note is that the growing season here in upstate NY is somewhat shorter than in Southwest Florida. This fish is probably at least 5 years old. They are quite similar to snook in temperament and aggression. The largest can get up to 25-30 lbs. They fight very hard for their size and have a mouthful of very sharp teeth. Enjoy the pictures.
