Fishing Report for Week Ending 2/15/97

by Capt. Butch Rickey

This was a slow week with not much going on. Weather was a factor. Nick Nicholson was in town from Kansas City, MO., along with Pete and Alvee. We drew a miserable day with a northeast wind at 25 knots+ and a solid cloud cover that signaled the passing of a front. If there's one thing fishing guides hate it's a north wind. But what are you gonna do?

We made the best of the day and had a lot of fun. Nick and his gang managed to catch 9 snook up to 28", along with 6 speckled trout up to 19". Frankly, that's better than I would have bet on with that noreaster blowin.
