Well, despite a tough beginning, our trip was really successful. Jeff got to surf 2 days in New Smyerna (sp?) and the visits to two very different schools-UCF and UF gainsville opened his eyes to very different possibilities. We also had a good discussion about deferring a year to pursue surfing until he's ready to buckle down with some academics.

Don't be upset about my first sentence. When I say tough, I want you to know that both Jeff and I appreciate how hard you work to make it a good experience. I have been with other guides here and there and NO ONE does as much. Believe me we both really enjoyed the trip, from meeting and dining with Dorothy, to catching some nice fish despite THEIR reluctance! I'm glad you think I did OK in teaching Jeff to handle the fish. We'll both continue to try and remember to --wait, reel, and then strike. As you said, the rod holders never lost a fish! Hi to Dorothy and I'll look forward to another trip. I'll remind you about the sun glasses as the time approaches for Chris Fredericks to come down-that is if you found them in the console.
