Just to let you know again, what a great time my wife Pam and I had with you on the water. It was suppose to be a day with the boys, Russ Hubbard and Jeff Stevens (both had to back out for different reasons), but with the trip booked, Russ suggested taking Pam who has never experienced flats fishing before. She was excited, but apprehensive. After fishing for ladyfish in the dark, with your guidance, we had bait for the day.
Once on the flats waiting the arrival of the first Red, conversation was light and enjoyable. Then the action started!! We had between 20 to 25 hits, with 10 or more fish to the boat. You kept us on the fish with minor adjustments to the position of the boat. There were times I could see the frustration in Pams' face, but with your help, she felt confident to continue the battle with as you call them "The Bronze Torpedoes of the Flats". Well put! With a trout in the boat, I had a miss on a snook which blew our chance of a "Hat Trick", but the Red action was great.
I had one concern--while hanging over the boat reviving a "Hawg Red", I heard over my shoulder, "Pam-grab this thing between my legs"!! When I turned around I saw you with one pole in each hand with fish on, and another pole between your legs waiting for more bait!! I was relieved to see it was fishing related.
I have forwarded your site to my friends, and hope they too will experience the fun we had. I know I'll be back on the water with you, and I hope it's soon. As we were coming into the dock (after lunch at the Green Flash on Captiva) I commented on the beauty that surrounded us. You looked at me and said "not a bad office, is it?" Well your right, not a bad office at all.
